Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Twenty-Two: Neogenic Nightmare, Chapter 9 - Blade, the Vampire Hunter

Blade, the Vampire Hunter

First Aired: February 3rd, 1996

Synopsis: Although Spider-Man's cured of being Man-Spider, he notes that he could transform back, and heads to Doctor Connors' lab. On the way he runs into Morbius who he fights, but shortly into their fight a mysterious man, Blade, appears and tries fighting both of them. He loses interest in Spider-Man upon realising that he's not a vampire, and when Morbius escapes he leaves, although not before Spider-Man gets a tracer on him. Spider-Man continues to Connors' lab where he receives a dose of radiation from the neogenic recombinator, and Connors says that he has to get a treatment every twenty-four hours or he'll turn into Man-Spider again. After leaving, Spider-Man gets blamed by the public for the recent cases of people being found drained of plasma, which is actually Morbius' handiwork. He runs into Morbius again and the two fight, only to be interrupted by Blade again. The two escape again, and Spider-Man tracks down Blade using the tracer from earlier.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Twenty-One: Neogenic Nightmare, Chapter 8 - Duel of the Hunters

Duel of the Hunters

First Aired: November 11th, 1995

Synopsis: The monster Spider-Man's mutated into fights the Punisher in the warehouse, but the Punisher calls his battle van and escapes. When Spider-Man leaves the warehouse, he's seen by a worker, and soon the news is reported that Spider-Man is now a mutated Man-Spider. Seeing this on the news, Mariah Crawford calls up Kraven the Hunter for help. The Punisher, for his part reaffirms his resolve to hunt the monster, and correctly guesses that he'll sleep during the day. Kraven the Hunter arrives at the airport during the day, and Crawford reveals that she's got a serum that can cure Spider-Man. That night, the mutated Man-Spider shows up at campus, terrifying Debbie Whitman who goes to Flash Thompson for help. The Punisher shows up and captures Man-Spider, but Kraven then arrives, and those two get into a fight. Man-Spider manages to break free and briefly fights Morbius, who's arrived, but Morbius flees and shortly afterwards, so does Man-Spider.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Twenty: Neogenic Nightmare, Chapter 7 - Enter the Punisher

Enter the Punisher

First Aired: November 4th, 1995

Synopsis: Some thugs dressed like punks have captured the daughter of a wealthy person and are intending to collect a ransom to get rich, but the Punisher breaks into their base and takes them all out. Afterwards, he's told by Microchip that his next target is Spider-Man. Said hero is avoiding Aunt May since he grew an extra four arms, and blows off a date with Mary Jane when she calls him, which annoys her. He goes to see Doctor Crawford to see whether she can help him and finds out in the process that he's been accused of kidnapping Morbius after he disappeared from his hospital room. Morbius tries returning to the hospital, which is seen on the news and thought to be Spider-Man because the media are dense. Spider-Man heads over to him, but finds himself confronted by  the Punisher.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Nineteen: Neogenic Nightmare, Chapter 6 - Morbius

Morbius

First Aired: October 28th, 1995

Synopsis: Spider-Man gets intense stomach pains when stopping a getaway vehicle so goes to see Mariah Crawford, Kraven the Hunter's scientist girlfriend. She's already got a serum she made and tested with Spider-Man's blood, although she warns him that while initial results are positive it might not work perfectly. At university, Peter mixes it in a vial with his blood, but it's stolen by Michael Morbius, who's determined to become Doctor Connors' lab assistant with his research. Morbius reveals to Felicia Hardy that he's stolen equipment from Connors' lab, and that he's determined to learn how to cure a mysterious disease which ravaged his village in Europe, suspecting that bats may be relevant. Later, he exposes Peter's blood to some of the equipment, but while he is a bat tries drinking it, then bites him. Morbius transforms into a vampire-like being, and flies out to feed on the plasma of students. Spider-Man, who's been doing some soul-searching and has decided that he needs to be more open to people, runs into him and they fight.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Eighteen: Neogenic Nightmare, Chapter 5 - Mutants' Revenge

Mutants' Revenge

First Aired: October 7th, 1995

Synopsis: Hobgoblin attacks the fighting Spider-Man and Wolverine but both of them shrug off the attack. Spider-Man webs his pumpkin bomb to his hand, which drives him off. Herbert Landon sees Wolverine and Spider-Man fighting on camera and launches rockets at them which Spider-Man saves them from, calming down Wolverine. Wolverine agrees to investigate the Brand Corporation with Spider-Man but is still suspicious. Meanwhile, Beast talks to Landon's assistant, who thinks that it's a good thing if mutants don't exist so they don't suffer. She points out that Beast himself tried to cure himself of being a mutant, which he defends as being a mistake. While they chat, Wolverine and Spider-Man make their way through Brand Corporation, fighting security, and Hobgoblin steals all of Landon's research from a computer when he too breaks into the building.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Seventeen: Neogenic Nightmare, Chapter 4 - The Mutant Agenda

The Mutant Agenda

First Aired: September 30th, 1995

Synopsis: Spider-Man goes to visit Professor X, as he's an expert in mutations and might be able to deal with the problem of Spider-Man continuing to mutate. He gets into a fight with the X-Men before Professor X breaks them all up, and explains to Spider-Man that he doesn't cure mutants - he helps them. Spider-Man is annoyed and leaves, but a sympathetic Beast follows him. Elsewhere, scientist Herbert Landon meets with the Hobgoblin. He gives Hobgoblin a scientific device, but then attempts to blow up Hobgoblin and fails. He's then contacted by Kingpin, who's funding Landon's research into mutants with the hopes that Landon will be able to create genetically altered mutants to use as super soldiers. Landon's got a conference on the next day to present his work. Meanwhile, Beast catches up to Spider-Man and suggests that Spider-Man go to the conference, since the research could be relevant to him. Spider-Man isn't ready to listen, and leaves, but after he's gone some soldiers attack and capture Beast.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Sixteen: Neogenic Nightmare, Chapter 3 - Hydro-Man

First Aired: September 23rd, 1995

Synopsis: Spider-Man reads in a newspaper that a thief has been striking and is suspected to be him since he must have super powers. At a nearby aquarium, a mysterious figure appears in a tank and steals some pearls from a clam. Spider-Man arrives and chases the figure, who's able to evade him. The next day, Peter meets with Mary Jane for lunch and asks her out on a date, but she's evasive. Peter's annoyed but they're interrupted by Mary Jane getting a call from a mysterious man named Morrie, who tells her to meet him. She immediately leaves and does so, visibly tense and stressed. Peter follows her as Spider-Man and sees her meeting Morrie, who turns out to be an ex-boyfriend of hers. He wants to get back together with her, and reveals that he can turn into and control water. Spider-Man appears and fights Morrie - who's calling himself Hydro-Man - and eventually gets Mary Jane away to safety.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Fifteen: Neogenic Nightmare, Chapter 2 - Battle of the Insidious Six

Battle of the Insidious Six

First Aired: September 16th, 1995

Synopsis: Spider-Man is running away from the Insidious Six in a warehouse, unsure how to defeat them since his powers are still missing. At one point a crate of Mysterio's tech is knocked over, briefly creating a big hologram of the jungle. Eventually Spider-Man is captured and unmasked, but since he put up so little of a fight the villains think that Peter impersonated Spider-Man to save Aunt May. Doctor Octopus uses Peter to get rid of Aunt May, who thinks he's in hospital, then forces him to take them to the real Spider-Man. Before they leave the warehouse Peter's able to take some of Mysterio's tech. The rest of the Insidious Six, meanwhile, go to Silvermane's headquarters and capture him, since otherwise he'll have Kingpin killed since he hasn't defeated Spider-Man. They meet with Doctor Octopus and Peter on a skyscraper roof that he's claimed is where he'll meet Spider-Man.

The Magical Girls and This Beautiful World

Synopsis: Kurumi is fighting Chisato, who is easily winning their fight. Although Kurumi reveals that she's learned jiu jitsu, it's not enough, and Chisato soon has her pinned. Being beaten so easily triggers traumatic memories of being bullied, which gives Kurumi a second wind, and she injects Chisato with one of her syringes. Meanwhile, Asuka is fighting Geiss, and finds that she can't injure him because of his armour. He launches an attack that seemingly has Asuka pinned underneath a bit of rubble, but it turns out that Asuka only lost an arm. She's realised that he's powered by liquid magic and that if she can find where it is, she can sever his supply which will stop him. For his part, Geiss admits that he admires Asuka, and that back in his village he was hopeful for magical girls to save them. Asuka agrees that the world can be horrible but that it's not all bad and that there are things worth fighting for. Sacchuu reveals that he's worked out where Geiss' liquid magic is. Asuka cuts it, but he's still able to keep going.
