Marvel's Spider-Man Episode Forty: My Own Worst Enemy

My Own Worst Enemy


First Aired: September 15th, 2019

Synopsis: After taking over Spider-Man's body from within the Living Brain, Doctor Octopus unmasks in his lair and discovers that he's Peter Parker. He gets a memory of Uncle Ben talking to Peter as he heads out, confusing him momentarily, then heads to the prison where Silver Sable is imprisoned. He tells her to continue Doctor Octopus' plan to steal from AIM and arm henchmen, and while she's sceptical at first that Spider-Man is really working for Ock, he eventually convinces her and breaks her out. Hammerhead also escapes in the process, and Ock is surprised at the guilt he feels as he gets another memory. Doctor Octopus then heads to an AIM base to steal from them and discovers some of Peter's powers in the process. As the fight continues he feels compelled to save some nearby civilians, but is angry at himself for doing so. Back at his lair, he starts to continue planning his scheme before realising that civilians will be injured in the process.

Marvel's Spider-Man Episode Twenty-Seven: Take Two

First Aired: June 18th, 2018

Synopsis: Spider-Man fights a mercenary named Paladin at the Oscorp construction site and defeats him, but the footage he tried taking for the Daily Bugle is poor quality. On his way to school Peter gets a call from Harry who's in Europe, and says that he needs the Daily Bugle money or he'll have to drop out. At Horizon Doctor Octopus shows up, but reveals that he's here to redeem himself and admit his mistakes after being released from prison, asking for his old teaching job back. Max Modell turns him down, but lets him pack up his lab. Later that day Max announces that Horizon will be working on the neuro-cortex, a robotic brain which simulates the human mind and can revolutionise things. Elsewhere, Anya tries curing Alexei of being the Rhino but is unsuccessful. Peter, meanwhile, sets up a drone to record footage of him as Spider-Man. Later, Silver Sable breaks into Horizon with the Wild Pack, consisting of Paladin, Puma, and Battlestar, and they steal the neuro-cortex.

Spectacular Spider-Man Episode Twenty-One: Accomplices

First Aired: October 7th, 2009

Synopsis: Black Cat breaks into a secure vault owned by Oscorp executive Donald Menken, but as she finds her item, a group - including Hammerhead, Silver Sable, businessman Roderick Kingsley, Doctor Octopus, and Patch - enter the room and tell her that she's in over her head. She gracefully leaves, and Donald Menken starts the bidding for an unknown item. Kingsley bids more money than is in the bidding account, and everyone agrees to resume the bidding the next day, after more money can be put in. The next day Peter realises that he'll be late for a date with Liz since he has to go to the Daily Bugle, and while there hears about a story Frederick Foswell wants to run about the possible return of Silvermane, and old-school gangster getting out of prison soon. Since it could be connected to the Big Man, Peter wants in on it, and agrees to take photos for Foswell. That night, Patch is unable to get into the auction since his backer's withdrawn bidding money. He comes out of the building and reveals to Peter that he's a disguise of Frederick Foswell's, and they eavesdrop on the bidding with a bug Patch planted. Peter asks what's being bidded on, and Foswell reveals that it's the schematics for Rhino's armour.

Spider-Man: The New Animated Series Episode Twelve: Mind Games, Part One

Mind Games, Part One


First Aired: September 5th, 2003

Synopsis: The psychic Gaines twins, a brother and sister, are being transported to a new prison. They somehow manage to get rid of the sedatives keeping them under and control a guard into shooting the driver and taking over their transport. Spider-Man shows up and they use their psychic powers on him, but he manages to resist it and sedates the two of them. Later, Spider-Man's looking over the city with Mary Jane, and after a discussion about what you should do and what you want to do, he heads off to stop a crime. Later, Peter has lunch with Indy and Harry, and Indy reveals that Pterodax and Silver Sable were sprung from prison by the Gaines twins before they were stopped. Pterodax have taken hostages on top of a construction site being run by Oscorp, but Spider-Man shows up and is able to defeat them, although Harry, watching from the ground, is injured in the process. Returning home as Peter, though, he finds Mary Jane and Indy there, who have found out that he's been seeing both of them, and neither of them are happy about it.

Spider-Man: The New Animated Series Episode Ten: Spider-Man Dis-Sabled

Synopsis: A visiting European diplomat, Tremaine, is at a press conference with the mayor of New York, and their limousine is shot with a bomb by Silver Sable. Peter Parker, videoing the conference, detects it with his spider-sense and goes after it as Spider-Man, stopping the limo, getting everyone out, then driving it into the water to save everyone. As Peter he soon visits Indy and asks her out. At the same time, his footage goes on the news which catches Silver Sable's attention, and she's soon got Peter as a target. When Peter talks about Indy to Mary Jane and Harry, Mary Jane suggests that the four of them go out to dinner to become friends. Before that, though, Silver Sable and her mooks break into Peter and Harry's place looking for Peter and fire some bullets around, though he hides from them. At dinner Indy says that most of what Peter shoots isn't broadcast, and they all realise that Sable must have broken in to access some of the extra footage. Using the auto-sharpen functionality on the footage, they see that Sable is visible in it and discover what her deal is. They assume that she's trying to assassinate the mayor.  Using one of the bullets lodged in the wall, Peter works out where Sable gets her ammo, and goes to confront her as Spider-Man. They briefly fight and she says that things aren't what they seem.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Fifty-Five: Six Forgotten Warriors, Chapter Two: Unclaimed Legacy

Synopsis: Groitzig is taken to Silver Sable's employer by the Wild Pack, who unmasks before him and causes him to recoil in horror. In the apartment where Spider-Man and Robbie were attacked, Robbie disarms the bomb left there and the two of them escape from the Russian police who have arrived. The next day Robbie gets the address of Groitzig's daughter from his old friend Detective Boris, and he and Peter go to question her. She's reluctant to let them in until she realises that Peter is Richard and Mary's daughter. She remembers them coming to Moscow when she was young to warn her father to get out, since people would be after him for the doomsday device he created. He was forced to create it by the Red Skull, and it was hidden in New York. The only other information she has is that her father said he had to find the Six Forgotten Warriors. Groitzig's daughter reveals a hidden box full of information about the doomsday device which she wants to give to Peter, but her husband reveals that he's the Chameleon in disguise and gets away with it.

 Six Forgotten Warriors, Chapter One

First Aired: September 19th, 1997

Synopsis: A man goes to SHIELD headquarters, where Nick Fury says that he needs to stop May Parker. In Europe, an old man is hunted and captured by Silver Sable, and when the news gets to America, Robbie Robertson lets a mysterious figure know. For his part, when Kingpin hears about it he reveals that he's keen to capture the old man - a World War II scientist called Wolfgang Groitzig - and reassembles the Insidious Six to free Chameleon, replacing Mysterio with Vulture. In Queens, Peter finds his parents' old passports which shows they travelled all over the world, and is going to ask Aunt May about it when the man from the start of the episode, Keene Marlowe, shows up for a visit, claiming to be an old friend of Uncle Ben's. He looks around the house for a bit before returning to SHIELD, with Peter in costume as Spider-Man following him to the Helicarrier. While hiding in the Helicarrier's vents, Spider-Man overhears Nick Fury say that he can't let Richard and Mary Parker's names be cleared, as they're believed to be traitors.
