Graduation Day, Part One

First Aired: January 7th, 2017

Synopsis: Peter's getting his diploma from SHIELD Academy today and is excited, but becomes less so when he finds Doctor Octopus in his house. Ock says that if he continues being Spider-Man he'll threaten Aunt May, but once he leaves Spider-Man places May in a secure SHIELD location. He then tells all of his teammates what's happened, and they split up to go to places where Ock has known associates and locations. Firstly, with his original team Spider-Man finds Scorpion at a warehouse. As they fight him they also find an imprisoned Crossbones, who is forcibly transformed into a Lizard. Both villains are defeated, and Spider-Man finds some plans involving hard-light technology. He's then contacted by the New Warriors, consisting of Triton, Squirrel Girl, Cloak, and Dagger, and goes to help them fight Kraven the Hunter. They rush in against Spider-Man's orders and are attacked by Vulture, too, but Spider-Man's leadership defeats the villains easily.

The Spider-Slayers, Part Three

First Aired: October 22nd, 2016

Synopsis: Spider-Man and his team return to the Triskelion, but SHIELD Academy still think that Scarlet Spider is a traitor and attack him. There's a big brawl but Scarlet ends up calling off the spider-slayers and things cool down. The slayers get locked into stasis tubes for now but the next day a bunch of people are found unconscious. Everyone's suspicious that the spider-slayers did it, but as their tubes lock from the outside they're cleared for now. Scarlet Spider starts looking more suspicious as the security room is found slashed up, so he voluntarily locks himself up in a stasis tube to assuage fears. Everyone splits up to investigate further but more people are taken out, and when Scarlet's tube is checked it turns out to be empty. They follow a trail of synthezoid fluid to Kaine, the spider-synthezoid previous fought by Mary Jane and Spider-Man, who is now further mutated. They realise that he's responsible for everything and fight him.

The Spider-Slayers, Part Two

First Aired: October 15th, 2016

Synopsis: Spider-Man is now in Doctor Octopus' submarine, travelling with Scarlet Spider and Ock to HYDRA Island. As they make their way inside HYDRA Island they're approached by spider-synthezoids named Bone Spider, Goliath Spider, and Ghost Spider, whom Ock should be able to control, but their controls have been disabled by Arnim Zola. Meanwhile, Mary Jane meets with Flash, Amadeus, and Miles and tells them that they need to get to HYDRA Island. Back on said island Doctor Octopus reveals that the synthezoids - named the spider-slayers - were designed to be led by Scarlet and the Scarlet himself is a synthezoid. Scarlet has an existential crisis but eventually gets it together and helps beat them up. While that happens Doctor Octopus leaves to find his nanotech research, and upon using it on himself, is physically changed, including having a yellow-and-green outfit. To Spider-Man and Scarlet Spider's surprise, he returns and helps them stop the spider-slayers, trapping them in cages using nanotechnology.

The Spider-Slayers, Part One

First Aired: October 8th, 2016

Synopsis: Peter and Mary Jane are hanging out when they find someone in a Spider-Man suit in the bushes. His mask won't come off as it appears to be his face, and he shocks Peter when he touches him. Peter changes to Spider-Man and with Mary Jane, goes after the duplicate which has escaped. They find a secret base with a smashed up laboratory. There are notes about something called Project Kaine, but before they can look through them further more Spider-Man duplicates, appearing to be based on Arnim Zola's synthezoids, appear. Mary Jane reveals that she still has the Carnage symbiote and transforms into what she declares is the Ultimate Spider-Woman. She admits that she didn't tell Peter since he kept being Spider-Man a secret from her for so long, and she doesn't want to be a superhero. The fight breaks open the floor below and the duo are attacked by the duplicate which fought them in the park, but it's taken out by a reappearing Scarlet Spider.

Ultimate Spider-Man Episode Eighty-Nine: The New Sinister Six, Part Two

The New Sinister Six, Part Two

First Aired: June 19th, 2016

Synopsis: Scarlet Spider holds Spider-Man while Doctor Octopus taunts him, before Ock reveals that he wants the key to the anti-HYDRA weapon. Scarlet knows that it's at May's so heads off to get it, leaving Spidey with Ock. Scarlet finds the key and lies to May about why he's there, but Flash reveals that Peter told him to stop anyone who arrived to retrieve the key. His wheelchair turns out to have lasers in it, and he fights Scarlet. Back at the Triskelion Spider-Man gives Ock a speech about not losing anyone and heads outside, where Hydro-Man is preparing to destroy the Triskelion. Spider-Man talks to Sandman, merged with the beach at the Triskelion, and convinces him to stand up and fight Hydro-Man, allowing Spider-Man to escape. Spider-Man manages to make it to May's house but is followed by Doctor Octopus, who manages to retrieve the key to the anti-HYDRA weapon with Scarlet's help.

Ultimate Spider-Man Episode Eighty-Eight: The New Sinister Six, Part One

The New Sinister Six, Part One

First Aired: June 12th, 2016

Synopsis: Spider-Man is helping Doctor Connors set up an anti-HYDRA weapon, and is given the key to look after so that it can't be used by any villains. He then gets a call from Scarlet Spider, reminding him that there's a party for Aunt May. He heads there with a cake but encounters the villain Shriek on the way, robbing a bank. Spider-Man defeats her but when he gets to Aunt May's discovers that he mixed up his cake with one of the bags of money Shriek stole. Peter's other spider-themed allies are there too, but they all get a distress call from SHIELD, which they have to go answer. Before leaving, Peter gives Aunt May the key to the anti-HYDRA weapon to keep it safe. At the Triskelion they find Doctor Octopus there with Electro, Rhino, Kraven the Hunter, Miles' Green Goblin, and Hydro-Man, forming a new Sinister Six. Spider-Man wants the team to retreat for safety's sake, but in doing so runs into Squirrel Girl, Cloak, and Dagger. Scarlet Spider points out that this is their home, and Spider-Man is convinced to keep everyone back to fight the villains.

Synopsis: Spider-Man is feeling overwhelmed by the responsibilities the SHIELD Academy personnel expect of him when he realises that he hasn't talked to Aunt May for a while. He calls her up but in the middle of the call there's a distress signal which he thinks might be from Nick Fury. Spider-Man, Iron Spider, Scarlet Spider, and Miles Morales head to the signal's location, which is an abandoned shopping centre in Queens. After fighting off its security measures they find a secret entrance in a barber shop, which leads them to a sealed-off room. They open it up and are attacked by a man made out of water, but when he overhears them talking about Nick Fury he realises that they work for SHIELD. He explains that he's Nick's friend and is down there trying to control his powers, and is in containment so that villains don't try and capture him. The heroes take him with them as they head back to SHIELD, but Amadeus looks him up in SHIELD's files and discovers that he's actually a prisoner in solitary confinement.

Ultimate Spider-Man Episode Eighty-Four: Double Agent Venom

First Aired: March 20th, 2016

Synopsis: Spider-Man and Scarlet Spider are flying around in Amadeus' jet looking for Doctor Octopus when an energy signature shows up at one of his old labs. They go there only to find Kraven the Hunter there, who captures Scarlet Spider. Although Scarlet is sceptical that Spider-Man will save him, Spider-Man clings to the outside of Amadeus' jet, piloted by Kraven, as it goes into space, to HYDRA Island. At the same time, on HYDRA Island Doctor Octopus is trying to remove the Venom symbiote from Flash, and being berated by Arnim Zola for focusing on Spider-Man over Nick Fury. Spider-Man manages to free Scarlet Spider from Kraven's bonds, and when the atmosphere starts getting breached the two of them activate their space suits and leave the facility. From the outside Spider-Man's able to work out where Flash would most likely be held, and the two heroes return to HYDRA Island, heading directly there. Once inside they do manage to find Flash, but he attacks them as Venom.

Ultimate Spider-Man Episode Eighty-Three: Lizards

First Aired: March 13th, 2016

Synopsis: The helicarrier's getting rebuilt, and while it is, Curt Connors is the head of SHIELD. Spider-Man and his spider-themed allies take part in a training course set up by agents Leopold Fitz and Jemma Simmons and try interrogating the other students at SHIELD Academy, hoping to find the spy that Vulture mentioned was among them, but fail to discern any information. After the training course is done a robot glitches and attacks Spider-Man, which everyone suspects is due to sabotage. When Spider-Man and Amadeus Cho go to question FitzSimmons about the robot they claim that it's not a suspicious glitch, but they can't examine it since Rhino destroyed its CPU in the fight. They also mention that Connors is the person who helped calibrate it, and Spider-Man's allies get suspicious of him, in spite of Spider-Man's claims that Connors is innocent. Venom is sent to guard Doctor Octopus in the cells alongside Rhino, while the rest of the team go to see Connors, who they find transforming into the Lizard. His bite turns out to be infectious and most of the others are transformed into lizards.

First Aired: February 21st, 2016

Synopsis: Spider-Man and his mysterious ally, who calls himself the Scarlet Spider, fight some HYDRA goons, during which Scarlet Spider reveals that he knows of Doctor Octopus. He was kidnapped by Ock and experimented on years ago, but he eventually managed to escape. He reluctantly agrees to team up with Spider-Man if it means that he can get revenge on Ock. Meanwhile, on the modified helicarrier, now dubbed HYDRA Island, Doctor Octopus frees Boomerang, Batroc, and Kraven, and says that whoever finds him Spider-Man will have a place on the new Sinister Six. In the city, Spider-Man and the Scarlet Spider see SHIELD Academy students being hit by a mind-ray which hurts them, but since they can't deal with the goblin soldiers guarding them they head to Oscorp. Kraven appears but they defeat him and keep going. Meanwhile, Doctor Octopus is threatening Harry and Norman Osborn, and wants Norman to become the Goblin again and be the head of the goblin army. To his surprise, though, when he injects Norman with a serum Norman reveals that he's made a cure and can't be changed back again.

Ultimate Spider-Man Episode Seventy-Nine: HYDRA Attacks, Part One

First Aired: February 21st, 2016

Synopsis: Peter is thinking to himself about how great his life is going since Aunt May revealed to him that she knows that he's Spider-Man. While he's in the city as Spider-Man Doctor Octopus appears, but Spider-Man defeats him with the aid of Iron Spider and Agent Venom. They take him to the SHIELD Helicarrier, where Amadeus wants to study Flash's brain to understand how spider-sense works. As Ock is taken away a tiny robot crawls out of him and infects Swarm, whose nanobots soon start infecting the helicarrier. Spider-Man and Nick Fury go after Doctor Octopus but he's joined by soldiers with both goblin and spider powers. At the same time, the helicarrier is constantly transforming thanks to Swarm, so Spider-Man gets Fury and himself away from the villains. They're joined by Iron Spider and Agent Venom, and Amadeus reveals that he's added a digital spider-sense to the Iron Spider armour.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Sixty-Four: I Really, Really Hate Clones

 I Really, Really Hate Clones

First Aired: January 31st, 1998

Synopsis: Spider-Man is transported to a Manhattan that's heavily destroyed, and the Beyonder tells him that he's responsible for it. Before he can explain what he means Hobgoblin and Green Goblin fly past and head to the Daily Bugle, where they attack J. Jonah Jameson, as they need him to unlock the security for the microwave satellite on the roof. Spider-Man fights them and they're confused, as he's the one that told them to do this. They end up blowing up the Daily Bugle, and Spider-Man loses them as he escapes the explosion. He manages to save J. Jonah Jameson but the goblins get away with the satellite regardless. Spider-Man's attacked by a Spider-Carnage hybrid and is about to be killed when he's teleported to the Beyonder. The Beyonder reveals that the longer he's in this dimension the weaker he gets, and shows Spider-Man the allies that have been brought here - a powerless Spider-Man, a Spider-Man with Doctor Octopus' tentacles, the Scarlet Spider, a Spider-Man in armour, and a six-armed Spider-Man. Scarlet Spider reveals that they're all in his reality, and that he's supposedly a clone of Spider-Man, except that a test by Professor Connors revealed that he's the original. The supposedly-original Spider-Man snapped at that news, and bonded with Carnage when he came through a portal thanks to Kingpin's research into other dimensions.
