Synopsis: Manhattan is now full of civilians with spider powers, and among them, Spider-Gwen is the most popular. The villain Crossbones attempts to steal a mysterious canister, and Spider-Man and Spider-Gwen team up to fight him. They're able to stop him, but Gwen identifies that the canister is made of vibranium and therefore must be important. They head to Horizon to investigate it, and find a micro-encrypted key inside it. Black Widow then appears and says that it's too important for them to have, moments before HYDRA agents burst in to try and steal it. Spider-Man, Spider-Gwen, Black Widow, and the newly empowered Anya work together to stop HYDRA, and in the middle of the fight it's revealed that Black Widow has also gotten spider powers. After the HYDRA agents are defeated, their leader reeals that the key unlocks a vault full of vibranium which Crossbones was planning on stealing.

The Spider-Slayers, Part Two

Synopsis: Spider-Man is now in Doctor Octopus' submarine, travelling with Scarlet Spider and Ock to HYDRA Island. As they make their way inside HYDRA Island they're approached by spider-synthezoids named Bone Spider, Goliath Spider, and Ghost Spider, whom Ock should be able to control, but their controls have been disabled by Arnim Zola. Meanwhile, Mary Jane meets with Flash, Amadeus, and Miles and tells them that they need to get to HYDRA Island. Back on said island Doctor Octopus reveals that the synthezoids - named the spider-slayers - were designed to be led by Scarlet and the Scarlet himself is a synthezoid. Scarlet has an existential crisis but eventually gets it together and helps beat them up. While that happens Doctor Octopus leaves to find his nanotech research, and upon using it on himself, is physically changed, including having a yellow-and-green outfit. To Spider-Man and Scarlet Spider's surprise, he returns and helps them stop the spider-slayers, trapping them in cages using nanotechnology.

Synopsis: Spider-Man and Scarlet Spider are flying around in Amadeus' jet looking for Doctor Octopus when an energy signature shows up at one of his old labs. They go there only to find Kraven the Hunter there, who captures Scarlet Spider. Although Scarlet is sceptical that Spider-Man will save him, Spider-Man clings to the outside of Amadeus' jet, piloted by Kraven, as it goes into space, to HYDRA Island. At the same time, on HYDRA Island Doctor Octopus is trying to remove the Venom symbiote from Flash, and being berated by Arnim Zola for focusing on Spider-Man over Nick Fury. Spider-Man manages to free Scarlet Spider from Kraven's bonds, and when the atmosphere starts getting breached the two of them activate their space suits and leave the facility. From the outside Spider-Man's able to work out where Flash would most likely be held, and the two heroes return to HYDRA Island, heading directly there. Once inside they do manage to find Flash, but he attacks them as Venom.

Synopsis: Spider-Man and his mysterious ally, who calls himself the Scarlet Spider, fight some HYDRA goons, during which Scarlet Spider reveals that he knows of Doctor Octopus. He was kidnapped by Ock and experimented on years ago, but he eventually managed to escape. He reluctantly agrees to team up with Spider-Man if it means that he can get revenge on Ock. Meanwhile, on the modified helicarrier, now dubbed HYDRA Island, Doctor Octopus frees Boomerang, Batroc, and Kraven, and says that whoever finds him Spider-Man will have a place on the new Sinister Six. In the city, Spider-Man and the Scarlet Spider see SHIELD Academy students being hit by a mind-ray which hurts them, but since they can't deal with the goblin soldiers guarding them they head to Oscorp. Kraven appears but they defeat him and keep going. Meanwhile, Doctor Octopus is threatening Harry and Norman Osborn, and wants Norman to become the Goblin again and be the head of the goblin army. To his surprise, though, when he injects Norman with a serum Norman reveals that he's made a cure and can't be changed back again.

Synopsis: Peter is thinking to himself about how great his life is going since Aunt May revealed to him that she knows that he's Spider-Man. While he's in the city as Spider-Man Doctor Octopus appears, but Spider-Man defeats him with the aid of Iron Spider and Agent Venom. They take him to the SHIELD Helicarrier, where Amadeus wants to study Flash's brain to understand how spider-sense works. As Ock is taken away a tiny robot crawls out of him and infects Swarm, whose nanobots soon start infecting the helicarrier. Spider-Man and Nick Fury go after Doctor Octopus but he's joined by soldiers with both goblin and spider powers. At the same time, the helicarrier is constantly transforming thanks to Swarm, so Spider-Man gets Fury and himself away from the villains. They're joined by Iron Spider and Agent Venom, and Amadeus reveals that he's added a digital spider-sense to the Iron Spider armour.

Ultimate Spider-Man Episode Seventy-Two: The Revenge of Arnim Zola

Synopsis: Arnim Zola sends new synthezoids at the heroes, and Cloak disappears while teleporting the Scorpion/Juggernaut one away. Spider-Man deals with the other, a Juggernaut/Doctor Octopus hybrid, but during the whole fight Rhino and Venom keep clashing. They continue to clash as they head to the reactor room, where they find Zola. Spider-Man manages to connect Zola to the reactor and deliver a shock of electricity strong enough to defeat him, but the heroes still need to find their captured allies. They wander along and find them held in gigantic tubes, but Zola appears on some screens and reveals that he can send his consciousness to any computer within range. Zola attacks them with a gigantic robot which has somehow copied the captured heroes' powers, and he's able to defeat Venom and Rhino and put them into tubes. He then reveals that he wants to take over Spider-Man's body for himself and places Spider-Man within a tube inside his giant robot.

Attack of the Synthezoids

First Aired: September 19th, 2015

Synopsis: After some strange dreams Spider-Man wakes up in an assimilation tube of Arnim Zola's, and after escaping, finds it missing when trying to explain what happened to his teammates. A synthezoid appears after they leave and he fights it, then goes to Nick Fury to warn him what's going on. Fury explains to Spider-Man that he's currently asleep undergoing a SHIELD test and that to wake up and pass the test he'll need to enter a large tube, but Spidey realises it's a trap. He fights Fury, who's a synthezoid, and is then contacted by Arnim Zola who explains that most people in the Triskelion have been replaced by synthezoids. The first group of heroes Spider-Man runs into turn out to be said synthezoids, but he soon finds Amadeus Cho and Iron Fist who are the real deal. While they go after Zola, who Amadeus can track, both Amadeus and Iron Fist are taken out by synthezoids.

Ultimate Spider-Man Episode Sixty-Six: SHIELD Academy

First Aired: July 7th, 2015

Synopsis: As Peter leaves Midtown High for the day, he thinks bout how it's his last day there because he'll now be at the Triskelion undertaking SHIELD training. With his teammates, both old and new, he fights robots and attends classes taught by the retired hero Whizzer, who cracks down on texting in class. Amadeus Cho reveals that someone's trying to hack his Iron Spider suit, but when he and Spider-Man track down the signal they just find an old robot in the Triskelion's archives. After another day of classes Amadeus goes to view the robot again, which activates this time and reveals that it's Arnim Zola. Zola manages to power himself up with some parts Amadeus examines, and magnetises Amadeus' suit so that he and Spidey are trapped. Spider-Man's able to manually manipulate the Iron Spider suit, but Zola has escaped in the meantime.
