Marvel's Spider-Man Episode Thirty-Nine: The Day Without Spider-Man

The Day Without Spider-Man


First Aired: September 8th, 2019

Synopsis: The mysterious blood gem, a recently-discovered gem that emits strange energy, arrives at Horizon for Gwen and Peter to study, but Peter is nowhere to be found. Miles and Spider-Girl, out fighting crime, also haven't heard from Spider-Man. Scorpion attacks Gwen for the blood gem, and she slips her phone into its case before he takes it. Miles and Spider-Girl head off after Scorpion but can't find him, while Gwen tracks her phone's signal and discovers that Scorpion is working for the Tinkerer. Tinkerer is planning to use the energy of the blood gem to power up Scorpion, but Gwen gets hit by it instead and somehow gets her Spider-Gwen powers back. She escapes from Scorpion and Tinkerer and meets Miles and Spider-Girl, then the three of them work together to stop Scorpion. They then return to fight Tinkerer, but unbeknownst to them Scorpion frees himself once they've left and he goes after them.

Marvel's Spider-Man Episode Two: Horizon High, Part Two

Horizon High, Part Two

First Aired: August 19th, 2017

Synopsis: Spider-Man's fighting Scorpion, trying to stop him from stealing a gem from a museum, and thinks back to how he had been spending some time with Harry before school. Harry asked Peter to get some things from his lab at Horizon, before Peter saw a news report about Scorpion and went to stop him as Spider-Man. Spider-Man leads Scorpion to the subway, hoping that the confined space will give him an advantage, and Scorpion starts escaping on a train. Spider-Man manages to get on it after him and stop him. As Peter, he shows up late to school, which annoys his student counsellor, Otto Octavius. Octavius gives Peter Harry's old lab, and Peter clears it out. He's then invited to meet with another student, Gwen Stacy, but she turns out to be off getting samples for experiments. Peter then has time to himself to work out a personal project to work on, and after struggling with ideas decides to upgrade his Spider-Man suit. While he's working on it, a robot breaks into the school, going after Harry's old equipment, and Spider-Man tries stopping it, but has to let it escape to save Miles Morales.

Ultimate Spider-Man Episode One Hundred and Four: Graduation Day, Part Two

Synopsis: Doctor Octopus locks Aunt May and Spider-Man in the room they're in, but not before revealing that the hard light shell surrounding the superheroes is going to shrink in size. Once he's left Aunt May reveals that as a graduation present she brought Peter his original web shooters. He puts them on and rappels out the window to a SHIELD armoury, where he grabs a jet pack. Spider-Man flies towards Oscorp, having realised that Norman Osborn wasn't at the graduation ceremony. Vulture appears and damages the jetpack, but Spider-Man gets away regardless. He meets with Norman who says that he can restore Spider-Man's powers, and reveals that he's gotten his memory as the Goblin back, but has kept Spider-Man's identity to himself out of respect. They manage to find a secret laboratory of Doctor Octopus' where the original radioactive spider is and it bites Spider-Man. Doctor Octopus then appears with his Sinister Six, wanting revenge on Norman, but to Spider-Man's dismay he discovers that the spider hasn't restored his powers.

Ultimate Spider-Man Episode One Hundred and Three: Graduation Day, Part One

First Aired: January 7th, 2017

Synopsis: Peter's getting his diploma from SHIELD Academy today and is excited, but becomes less so when he finds Doctor Octopus in his house. Ock says that if he continues being Spider-Man he'll threaten Aunt May, but once he leaves Spider-Man places May in a secure SHIELD location. He then tells all of his teammates what's happened, and they split up to go to places where Ock has known associates and locations. Firstly, with his original team Spider-Man finds Scorpion at a warehouse. As they fight him they also find an imprisoned Crossbones, who is forcibly transformed into a Lizard. Both villains are defeated, and Spider-Man finds some plans involving hard-light technology. He's then contacted by the New Warriors, consisting of Triton, Squirrel Girl, Cloak, and Dagger, and goes to help them fight Kraven the Hunter. They rush in against Spider-Man's orders and are attacked by Vulture, too, but Spider-Man's leadership defeats the villains easily.

Ultimate Spider-Man Episode Sixty: New Warriors

New Warriors


First Aired: October 14th, 2014

Synopsis: Spider-Man introduces his team to the New Warriors - Agent Venom, Iron Spider, Ka-Zar and Zabu. They start a training session but are interrupted by Taskmaster teleporting in with his own team, consisting of Cloak, Dagger, and Vulture. Cloak teleports away Spider-Man's original team before Spider-Man and the New Warriors are locked in the room by Taskmaster. They escape via a passageway and then head to where prisoners are incarcerated, realising that Taskmaster's there to free people, but they screw up and accidentally free Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Beetle, and Scorpion. The Goblin teleports away with Taskmaster's team after breaking Amadeus' Iron Spider outfit, and after a brief fight with the remaining villains Spidey and his team make a tactical retreat. Doctor Octopus, Beetle, and Scorpion start to escape the helicarrier using a jet, but Vulture, wanting revenge on Ock, manages to damage it badly enough that it returns to the helicarrier.

Ultimate Spider-Man Episode Fifty-Five: Agent Venom

Agent Venom


First Aired: September 7th, 2014

Synopsis: Spider-Man is swinging around when he sees a symbiote on an electronic billboard, and is soon attacked by a Venom-empowered Scorpion. As they fight they're interrupted by Flash Thompson, wearing a homemade costume and calling himself the Scarlet Spider. Spider-Man is able to remove the symbiote from Scorpion and defeat him, but tells Flash that he isn't a superhero and needs to leave. Flash isn't happy with this, but unbeknownst to all a small piece of the symbiote Spider-Man missed attaches itself to Flash's shoe. At the same time, Beetle watches the whole thing. The next day at school Flash is friendly with Peter, saying that he's training to be a superhero, but then Beetle bursts in with orders from Taskmaster to retrieve the symbiote. Peter changes to Spider-Man, but Flash wants to help his idol and so the symbiote from the previous night covers his body completely, turning him into the new Venom. The two work together to stop Beetle, but while Spider-Man's trying to convince Flash to remove the symbiote, Beetle escapes.

Ultimate Spider-Man Episode Fifty-One: Return of the Sinister Six

First Aired: November 3rd, 2013

Synopsis: Spider-Man and Iron Patriot are in the sewers chasing after the Lizard, who is wearing a high-tech suit. When Iron Patriot damages the walls of the area they're in Spider-Man has to hold it up, and while Iron Patriot fixes it up Lizard escapes. Spider-Man notices some scrawls on a wall, and deduces that it's a chemical formula. He creates it back on the SHIELD Helicarrier and speculates that it'll cure the Lizard, and that it was written by Connors, still trying to break free of the Lizard's body. Spider-Man and his team hear about a prison breakout, so they head there alongside Iron Patriot, who was also on the helicarrier. They split up at the prison and Spider-Man finds the Sinister Six there, all wearing upgraded suits, and with Beetle having been replaced by Scorpion.

Ultimate Spider-Man Episode Thirty-Nine: Journey of the Iron Fist

First Aired: June 16th, 2013

Synopsis: Spider-Man and Iron Fist are training on the Brooklyn Bridge when a ninja shows up and attacks them. During the fight Iron Fist is scratched by the ninja's kunai before Spider-Man manages to get rid of him by webbing him to a truck. An old man appears before them and Iron Fist tells Spider-Man that he must return home, thanking Spider-Man for all he's done for him. Spider-Man is naturally confused, and follows them to the airport, jumping on the plane they take which eventually lands in K'un L'un. Spider-Man is immediately attacked by Scorpion, a warrior of K'un L'un and spiritual brother of Iron Fist, but Danny stops him, saying that Spider-Man is here as his guest. Danny then explains to Spider-Man that he's going to become the king of K'un L'un, but had a year in the outside world to say his farewells - and that year is up. As he explains, Danny starts falling sick due to some poison from the kunai scratch, which means that he can't enter the trial to prove that he can be king.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Fifty-Seven: Six Forgotten Warriors, Chapter Four: The Six Fight Again

First Aired: October 10th, 1997

Synopsis: Robbie shows up at Omar Mosely's house for the keys he has to the doomsday device, but once Mosely takes him to the lockbox where he has them, Robbie reveals himself to be the Chameleon. Spider-Man and the Destroyer show up and get the keys back, but the rest of the Insidious Six attack and defeat Spider-Man and the Destroyer. The Black Marvel unexpectedly shows up and saves them, but Kingpin reveals that he's holding the real Robbie Robertson hostage, and forces the heroes to give him the two keys. After Robbie's freed, Destroyer is suspicious of the Black Marvel since he's supposed to be dead, but Black Marvel unmasks and reveals that he is and always has been Omar Mosely, as the original test subject was forbidden to participate by his father, but it was a good cover to keep. Black Marvel and Destroyer gather the remaining members of the Six - Miss America and the Whizzer - and they agree to fight again alongside Spider-Man to find the Thunderer and protect the last key.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Fifty-Six: Six Forgotten Warriors, Chapter Three: Secrets of the Six

First Aired: October 3rd, 1997

Synopsis: Peter and Robbie go to see Omar Mosely, his mentor, who reveals that he has Captain America's shield. Mosely gives the origin of Captain America and explains that after the super-soldier serum was lost, five more people were experimented on in an attempt to recreate the formula. They became the heroes The Destroyer, Miss America, The Thunderer, The Black Marvel, and The Whizzer, and although their powers had limited use and could be controlled via rings they wore, they fought alongside Captain America as the Six American Warriors. After discovering of a doomsday device the Red Skull had created, they went to stop him from using it, but in the process, Captain America and the Red Skull fell into some beams which caused them to vanish. The remaining warriors vowed to free Captain America one day, but were forced to disband. They each took one of the keys needed to activate the doomsday device to stop it from being activated. In the present, Kingpin reveals that he's used some databases he's hacked into to discover the identities of the warriors, and sends Rhino after The Whizzer and Vulture after Miss America.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Fifty-Five: Six Forgotten Warriors, Chapter Two: Unclaimed Legacy

First Aired: September 26th, 1997

Synopsis: Groitzig is taken to Silver Sable's employer by the Wild Pack, who unmasks before him and causes him to recoil in horror. In the apartment where Spider-Man and Robbie were attacked, Robbie disarms the bomb left there and the two of them escape from the Russian police who have arrived. The next day Robbie gets the address of Groitzig's daughter from his old friend Detective Boris, and he and Peter go to question her. She's reluctant to let them in until she realises that Peter is Richard and Mary's daughter. She remembers them coming to Moscow when she was young to warn her father to get out, since people would be after him for the doomsday device he created. He was forced to create it by the Red Skull, and it was hidden in New York. The only other information she has is that her father said he had to find the Six Forgotten Warriors. Groitzig's daughter reveals a hidden box full of information about the doomsday device which she wants to give to Peter, but her husband reveals that he's the Chameleon in disguise and gets away with it.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Fifty-Four: Six Forgotten Warriors, Chapter One

 Six Forgotten Warriors, Chapter One

First Aired: September 19th, 1997

Synopsis: A man goes to SHIELD headquarters, where Nick Fury says that he needs to stop May Parker. In Europe, an old man is hunted and captured by Silver Sable, and when the news gets to America, Robbie Robertson lets a mysterious figure know. For his part, when Kingpin hears about it he reveals that he's keen to capture the old man - a World War II scientist called Wolfgang Groitzig - and reassembles the Insidious Six to free Chameleon, replacing Mysterio with Vulture. In Queens, Peter finds his parents' old passports which shows they travelled all over the world, and is going to ask Aunt May about it when the man from the start of the episode, Keene Marlowe, shows up for a visit, claiming to be an old friend of Uncle Ben's. He looks around the house for a bit before returning to SHIELD, with Peter in costume as Spider-Man following him to the Helicarrier. While hiding in the Helicarrier's vents, Spider-Man overhears Nick Fury say that he can't let Richard and Mary Parker's names be cleared, as they're believed to be traitors.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Fifty-Three: The Wedding

First Aired: September 12th, 1997

Synopsis: Aunt May and Peter go to the bank, where Aunt May takes her and Ben's old wedding rings out of a safety deposit box to give to Peter. As this is happening, however, Scorpion attacks the bank, and manages to escape with Aunt May as a hostage despite Spider-Man's best efforts. Outside, Spider-Man taunts Scorpion so that he drops Aunt May, and he saves her while Scorpion escapes. In Ravencroft Asylum, Harry Osborn is in therapy, and although he still has issues to get through, he thinks that he was only imagining that Peter was Spider-Man. He gets a visit from Mary Jane and Liz Allen, and when Mary Jane tells Harry that she's marrying Peter, he has a breakdown and starts seeing visions of the Green Goblin again. Shortly afterwards, he escapes from Ravencroft and makes an alliance with Alistair Smythe, who also brings in Scorpion as muscle. Smythe builds robotic warriors to assist Harry.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Forty-Six: Partners in Danger, Chapter 5 - Partners

Synopsis: Black Cat tries to break up a smuggling operation by herself, but ends up getting captured by Alistair Smythe. Smythe gets away with her, but before doing so reveals to the nearby Spider-Man that he's working for a new foe of Spider-Man's. That villain turns out to be Silvermane, who is still a young child thanks to the effects of the Tablet of Time, but is using Smythe to try and restore his age. Smythe reveals that he needs either Scorpion or Vulture to do so as they have been mutated by neogenics, and by using Black Cat as a hostage, he coerces Spider-Man into finding one of them for him. Unbeknownst to Spider-Man, Scorpion is currently holding Vulture prisoner, as he wants to create a laboratory which Vulture can use to return him to normal. He also has a girlfriend who wants to help him however she can.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Twenty-Seven: Neogenic Nightmare, Chapter 14 - The Final Nightmare

The Final Nightmare

First Aired: February 24th, 1996

Synopsis: The aged Spider-Man manages to escape from Vulture when there's a secondary explosion at the latter's penthouse which distracts him. Spider-Man manages to make his way home, but is weakened and needs to take a bus home after unmasking. At the same time, Vulture attacks Norman Osborn's helicopter and manages to get Osborn on his own, only for Vulture to unexpectedly mutate into the Man-Spider, allowing Osborn to escape. Back at home, Peter still hasn't returned to his normal age, and so he calls up Professor Connors for help. Connors tells him to come to his lab the next day and he'll see what he can do. Shortly afterwards Vulture, youthful again, goes to Connors himself and says that he needs help returning to normal, since he's alternating between being Man-Spider and himself. Connors realises that when Vulture absorbed Spider-Man's youth, he also absorbed the DNA responsible for the mutation. They're interrupted by Scorpion, who's kidnapped his creator Farley Stillwell, and wants to use neogenics to return to normal. Scorpion and Vulture fight before realising that they can work together.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Fifteen: Neogenic Nightmare, Chapter 2 - Battle of the Insidious Six

First Aired: September 16th, 1995

Synopsis: Spider-Man is running away from the Insidious Six in a warehouse, unsure how to defeat them since his powers are still missing. At one point a crate of Mysterio's tech is knocked over, briefly creating a big hologram of the jungle. Eventually Spider-Man is captured and unmasked, but since he put up so little of a fight the villains think that Peter impersonated Spider-Man to save Aunt May. Doctor Octopus uses Peter to get rid of Aunt May, who thinks he's in hospital, then forces him to take them to the real Spider-Man. Before they leave the warehouse Peter's able to take some of Mysterio's tech. The rest of the Insidious Six, meanwhile, go to Silvermane's headquarters and capture him, since otherwise he'll have Kingpin killed since he hasn't defeated Spider-Man. They meet with Doctor Octopus and Peter on a skyscraper roof that he's claimed is where he'll meet Spider-Man.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Fourteen: Neogenic Nightmare, Chapter 1 - The Insidious Six

First Aired: September 9th, 1995

Synopsis: While swinging around the city and thinking about his love interests, Spider-Man finds his powers temporarily turning off. Meanwhile, Kingpin is having a meeting with some crime lords, who are annoyed that he hasn't dealt with Spider-Man. Kingpin reveals that he has a plan to deal with Spider-Man, and breaks Chameleon, Mysterio, Rhino, Shocker, Scorpion, and Doctor Octopus out of prison. Although some of them, notably Octopus, are reluctant to do so, they agree to work together as the Insidious Six. They don't commit any crimes to start out with, and so Peter sleeps for a whole day before they start, using Chameleon to frame Spider-Man as their leader. When he tries fighting them, he finds his powers turning off in battle, and has to escape via subway since he can't fight them.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Six: The Sting of the Scorpion

First Aired: March 11th, 1995

Synopsis: Peter is walking Felicia Hardy to her home as she tells him that she doesn't want to date him since he's just her tutor. While she's talking to him Peter spots a suspicious man following them. He ducks off and changes to Spider-Man, but the man gets away when Spidey has to stop some jewellery robbers. The next day, when Peter's selling photos of the robbery, J. Jonah Jameson acts very suspicious of Peter's photography skills, right before meeting with the suspicious man, named Gargan. It turns out that Jonah thinks that Spider-Man and Peter know one another and wants Gargan to prove the connection. When an eavesdropping Spider-Man comes in and humiliates the two of them, Jonah tells Gargan that he can help him get powerful enough to stop Spider-Man. At Empire State University, a scientist named Stillwell turns Gargan into the Scorpion, and then he's sent after Spider-Man. After an intense battle, Spider-Man ends up crushed beneath a water tower, with Gargan in position to unmask him.

Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends Episode Twenty: Attack of the Arachnoid

Attack of the Arachnoid

First Aired: October 8th, 1983

Synopsis: The Spider-Friends have a fight with Scorpion, who has a vial of a gas which can make villains. The heroes are able to stop him, but some of the gas escapes in the process. Meanwhile, a scientist named Zoltan has created a serum which will give him Spider-Man's powers, thus letting him commit crimes as Spider-Man. Spider-Man will get the blame, while he'll get money for his research. He injects himself with the serum and soon starts committing crimes, during which time he fights and defeats secret government agent Iceman and Firestar. The two heroes question Peter, who was sleeping at the time, and together they decide to try and find Spider-Man's doppelganger. Unfortunately, Spider-Man and Zoltan's spider-senses interfere with each other, and Spider-Man blacks out after getting a spider-tracer onto Zoltan. When he comes to, he finds himself under arrest for the crimes Zoltan committed.

Spider-Man (1967) Episode Twenty: Sting of the Scorpion / Trick or Treachery

Sting of the Scorpion

First Aired: January 20th, 1968

Synopsis: The Scorpion manages to escape from prison by burrowing out of his cell, and vows revenge on Spider-Man and J. Jonah Jameson. When Jonah hears about it, he calls Stillwell, the scientist who helped create Scorpion. Stillwell claims that Scorpion's powers should have worn off by now, and says that he'll set a trap for Scorpion. Shortly afterwards, Scorpion bursts in through Stillwell's window and demands a serum to give him his powers, and ends up drinking random chemicals when Stillwell refuses. After he leaves, Spider-Man arrives, having heard about Scorpion, and is given an antidote to the chemicals Scorpion drank to feed him.
