Marvel's Spider-Man Episode Sixteen: The Rise of Doc Ock, Part Two

The Rise of Doc Ock, Part Two


First Aired: January 21st, 2018

Synopsis: Spider-Man, Miles, and Doctor Octavius work to save a collapsing bridge before fighting the Lizard. The Lizard gets away, but while researching his tail which was shed they realise that it was attacking Norman Osborn. They also look into a herpetologist who can help them research the Lizard and find out that there's one at Oscorp, Curt Connors. They head over to Oscorp to meet with him but are eventually greeted by Norman himself, who reveals that Curt is the Lizard. He stole an untested regeneration serum in the hopes of restoring his missing arm, and it transformed him. The Lizard attacks the group then, but they manage to stop and restrain him. Norman asks Octavius to cure him, as he's the only person smart enough, and gives Octavius what data he has on the Lizard. After he's gone, however, Norman restores the Lizard to being Connors, and tells him that he has one more job to go. Meanwhile, at school Miles is wary of Octavius as a team player, which Peter blames himself for, saying that he should be a better mentor.

Ultimate Spider-Man Episode Ninety-Four: Return to the Spider-Verse, Part One

Return to the Spider-Verse, Part One


First Aired: August 27th, 2016

Synopsis: Spider-Man and Miles are playing video games when Spider-Ham, Spyder-Knight, and Miles' mother briefly show up before vanishing into thin-air. Iron Fist shows up and takes the two heroes to K'un L'un, where Nick Fury, Madame Web, and Doctor Strange are. After fighting off some giant spiders from another universe, Madame Web explains that because the Siege Perilous was shattered, the shards have scattered between different universes, and as it pulls itself together, it's bringing bits of those universes with it. Miles and Spider-Man will have to go to the other universes to retrieve the shards, using a shard found in the hidden Inhuman City which will act as a compass to find the others. A portal is then opened by Strange and Madame Web, which lands Miles and Spider-Man in a steampunk world. They're attacked by vampiric versions of Iron Fist, White Tiger, and Luke Cage, but saved by Blood Spider, the last superhero in Manhattan. He explains that the vampires were created by the Lizard King, before they start looking for the shard from this universe.

Ultimate Spider-Man Episode Eighty-Three: Lizards

First Aired: March 13th, 2016

Synopsis: The helicarrier's getting rebuilt, and while it is, Curt Connors is the head of SHIELD. Spider-Man and his spider-themed allies take part in a training course set up by agents Leopold Fitz and Jemma Simmons and try interrogating the other students at SHIELD Academy, hoping to find the spy that Vulture mentioned was among them, but fail to discern any information. After the training course is done a robot glitches and attacks Spider-Man, which everyone suspects is due to sabotage. When Spider-Man and Amadeus Cho go to question FitzSimmons about the robot they claim that it's not a suspicious glitch, but they can't examine it since Rhino destroyed its CPU in the fight. They also mention that Connors is the person who helped calibrate it, and Spider-Man's allies get suspicious of him, in spite of Spider-Man's claims that Connors is innocent. Venom is sent to guard Doctor Octopus in the cells alongside Rhino, while the rest of the team go to see Connors, who they find transforming into the Lizard. His bite turns out to be infectious and most of the others are transformed into lizards.

Ultimate Spider-Man Episode Fifty-One: Return of the Sinister Six

First Aired: November 3rd, 2013

Synopsis: Spider-Man and Iron Patriot are in the sewers chasing after the Lizard, who is wearing a high-tech suit. When Iron Patriot damages the walls of the area they're in Spider-Man has to hold it up, and while Iron Patriot fixes it up Lizard escapes. Spider-Man notices some scrawls on a wall, and deduces that it's a chemical formula. He creates it back on the SHIELD Helicarrier and speculates that it'll cure the Lizard, and that it was written by Connors, still trying to break free of the Lizard's body. Spider-Man and his team hear about a prison breakout, so they head there alongside Iron Patriot, who was also on the helicarrier. They split up at the prison and Spider-Man finds the Sinister Six there, all wearing upgraded suits, and with Beetle having been replaced by Scorpion.

Ultimate Spider-Man Episode Forty-One: Stan By Me

First Aired: July 7th, 2013

Synopsis: Peter Parker, Mary Jane, and Harry Osborn are the only people at school on a Friday evening, as Peter needs their help with some science classes he missed. The power ominously goes out, and the school's janitor, Stan, says there's something ominous about. In the darkness Coulson, who is also at school, disappears at the same time large claw marks appear on the walls and ceiling. Thankfully, Stan prompts Peter to run and get help, giving him the excuse he needs to change to Spider-Man. As Spider-Man rejoins his friends he's attacked by the Lizard, but saved by Stan attacking it with his mop. His communicator is damaged in the process, which means he can't call his team for help. The group of Spider-Man, Stan, Mary Jane, and Harry head to the boiler room after the Lizard, but Harry is grabbed by the Lizard when the monster grabs a high-tech security panel from a wall.

Ultimate Spider-Man Episode Thirty-Two: The Sinister Six

The Sinister Six


First Aired: February 17th, 2013

Synopsis: Spider-Man is training with his team when he gets a call from Doctor Connors, asking him to come to Doctor Octopus' underwater lab. Spider-Man heads there on his own since his team aren't interested in coming, but when he arrives finds that Connors is restrained and the whole thing is a trap. Doctor Octopus, Rhino, Electro, Kraven the Hunter, and the Beetle show up. Doctor Octopus forcibly transforms Connors into the Lizard, and together they form the Sinister Six. Spider-Man runs off, unable to contact his team since the signal is being scrambled. When the Sinister Six split up to find him, Spider-Man webs up the Lizard and manages to get him to transform back into Connors - but Ock transforms him once more. Spider-Man is knocked out and the Sinister Six agree that the Lizard should be the one to unmask him, since he's the one who defeated him - but the Lizard turns on the villains instead. In the fight Rhino accidentally smashes a wall which causes water to start flooding in, and Spider-Man recovers then somehow gets outside.

Ultimate Spider-Man Episode Twenty-Seven: The Lizard

The Lizard


First Aired: January 21st, 2013

Synopsis: Spider-Man and his team are in a warehouse, investigating an abandoned warehouse of Doctor Octopus'. Doctor Octopus turns out to be there but SHIELD arrive and drive him off, before claiming some animal DNA compounds that Ock made. The team then return home to Aunt May's since she's just getting home, but Spider-Man soon finds the house too cramped and returns to the warehouse to do science with Doctor Connors. Connors helps Spider-Man improve his web fluid, creating flash webs, and then starts getting interested in the DNA compounds, thinking that they might help him get his missing arm back. Spider-Man talks him out of it, but shortly afterwards accidentally activates a security measure of Octopus' and is trapped under debris. To save him, Connors injects himself with a lizard DNA serum, growing a muscular and reptilian new arm. As he and Spider-Man fight off robots, Connors convinces himself that he needs more of the serum, which turns him fully reptilian - into the Lizard.

Spectacular Spider-Man Episode Three: Natural Selection

First Aired: March 15th, 2008

Synopsis: Spider-Man stops some robbers from stealing from a bakery and gets photos of it, but when he returns home he finds that the bakery window caught the flash so the photos are useless. Meanwhile, Curt Connors tries injecting himself with his new lizard serum, and is amazed when his lost arm regenerates. The next day, Flash Thompson throws water balloons at Peter, who dodges at first but eventually lets himself get hit to preserve his secret. Gwen and Randy Robertson step in to defend him, and Flash gives up. Gwen and Peter then head to the lab, where Curt reveals his new arm and they all celebrate. Curt's wife Martha notices something though - namely, Curt has started growing scales. Curt's son Billy is sent out of the room while they all look into a fix for Curt, whose mind is starting to degenerate. Peter suggests that they make a serum to clean all non-human DNA from Curt, and also notes that it could remove his spider powers. Curt fully transforms into the Lizard, and transforms further before escaping. Eddie runs after him, and when Peter does so too so that he can change to Spider-Man, Martha and Gwen assume that he's a coward since he could otherwise be working on the cleansing serum.

Spider-Man: The New Animated Series Episode Three: Law of the Jungle

First Aired: July 18th, 2003

Synopsis: Peter is working for Professor Connors, who is a jerk, on a serum for regeneration using reptile DNA. Connors is pleased by the test result and shoos Peter out, then injects himself with the serum. Peter catches up with Harry and Mary Jane, who are planning to go through Norman Osborn's things on the anniversary of his death. Peter realises that he forgot to give Connors some test data so tracks him down, where Connors is witnessing a carjacking. Spider-Man stops the criminal and then goes to see Connors as Peter, but the cop questioning Connors about the carjacking is suspicious of Peter and tells him to come to the precinct the next day. As a result, Peter is only briefly able to help Harry and Mary Jane go through Norman's things. The cop is a jerk to Peter, but the power goes out and fighting noises are heard, leading to Peter changing to Spider-Man. He fights a mysterious figure who gets away, leaving behind only a shred of clothing, and the photos he takes of it show it to be something reptilian. Peter goes to see Connors, who has uncharacteristically cancelled his class, and Connors tells Peter that he lost his arm working on explosives for the military. Peter finds some strange scales on Connors' desk and takes them, along with a coat, on his way out.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Sixty-Three: Secret Wars, Chapter 3: Doom

First Aired: November 21st, 1997

Synopsis: Spider-Man and the Lizard rendezvous with the Fantastic Four, who they find injured from a fight with Doctor Doom's robots, and missing the Thing, who was captured by Doom. In Doom's land of New Latveria, he menacingly asks the Thing why they've been brought to Battleworld and by whom. The Fantastic Four go to save the Thing in spite of Spider-Man's insistence that they wait for reinforcements, and upon arriving at New Latveria, discover that they are let in without issue and that within it's a paradise for the native aliens of the planet. At Doctor Doom's castle, a human Ben Grimm greets them and explains that he was transformed back by Doom. Doom himself arrives and explains that he's not a tyrant - he's ruling over the aliens because if he doesn't, another villain will capture them and rule over them. He also reveals that he's fixed up his face so that it's no longer scarred. Reed is doubtful of all of this and attacks Doom, leading to all of the heroes being captured. The Thing tries to convince Doom to let them be free, and Doom points out that the Thing won't even tell him how they got here. The Thing agrees to tell him if the heroes are free, and explains about the Beyonder.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Sixty-Two: Secret Wars, Chapter 2: The Gauntlet of the Red Skull

First Aired: November 14th, 1997

Synopsis: On Earth, Morbius and Blade hunt Blade's mother alongside Black Cat, who unexpectedly disintegrates and appears on Battleworld, thanks to a machine operated by Iron Man and the Lizrd. She's confused until Spider-Man reveals that he asked them to do so. The remaining alien natives of the planet are planning an attack on the Red Skull's base and are eager to do so; although Spider-Man wants them to wait until his team are more prepared, he ends up agreeing to attack when they do. Black Cat is annoyed at Spider-Man for summoning her without her permission, and Spider-Man says that he did so because they work well together, to which Black Cat rebuts that he basically wanted her there to make him feel good. The heroes - minus Storm, who is with the alien rebels, and the Fantastic Four, who are attacking Doctor Doom's base - head off to meet up with the rebels, but a sandstorm causes their transport to break down, forcing them to walk. In the Red Skull's base, Smythe reveals a giant robot to Red Skull, and Red Skull in turn reveals that Doctor Octopus is working with them now after Doctor Doom annexed his kingdom. Smythe notes that both villains are planning on stabbing the other in the back.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Sixty-One: Secret Wars, Chapter 1: Arrival

First Aired: November 7th, 1997

Synopsis: Spider-Man floats through a vortex of floating colours before arriving on a planet, where a pair of eyes floating in the sky express disappointment in him. Madam Web convinces the eyes to give Spider-Man a shot, and the eyes turn into a being calling himself the Beyonder. The Beyonder wants to learn about good and evil, and as an experiment, transports Doctor Octopus, Doctor Doom, Alistair Smythe, the Lizard, and Red Skull to a peaceful planet that has no concept of evil, and then accelerates time by a year, by which point the world has been ravaged. Spider-Man gets transported to the planet and is told to stop the villains, but gets his choice of heroes to assist him. Spider-Man gets the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Captain America, and Storm transported to the planet. While he's trying to allay their suspicions, the Lizard bursts out of a room he was being held in and attacks Spider-Man, but is defeated by the heroes.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Fifty-One: Partners in Danger, Chapter 10 - The Lizard King

First Aired: July 26th, 1997

Synopsis: After revealing his identity to Mary Jane last episode, Peter asks her to marry him, using a spider-tracer as an improvised ring, and she agrees. After telling their aunts about it - May approves, Anna doesn't and has to refrain from pointing the Punisher in Peter's direction - they go to Professor Connors at university to ask for him to take the role of Mary Jane's father in the wedding, since neither of them have any significant male figures in their lives. Connors agrees, but the three of them are then attacked by lizard-people, who manage to kidnap Connors and Mary Jane. Peter follows them into the sewers using the signal from the spider-tracer he gave Mary Jane, while the lizard-people reveal that they used to be ordinary reptiles in the sewers until they drank a mysterious liquid, which Connors thinks is part of a failed experiment he poured down the sink. Connors semi-transforms into the Lizard and fights the lizard-people, giving Mary Jane the opportunity to escape. Spider-Man finds her and sends her back to the street, but she doesn't plan on just siting around and waiting for him to come back.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode Twenty-Four: Neogenic Nightmare, Chapter 11 - Tablet of Time

First Aired: November 18th, 1995

Synopsis: Some explorers find a Toltec pyramic, and inside it the mythical Tablet of Time, which is taken to Empire State University to be studied by Doctor Connors. When it arrives at the docks, Hammerhead is sent to retrieve it by Silvermane, who wants it since it has a formula upon it to make you younger, but is stopped by Spider-Man. Hammerhead is fired by Silvermane, and goes to Kingpin, who starts making plans of his own to get the tablet. When Spider-Man shows up at university to get his neogenic treatment, Connors explains to Spider-Man that if he can decipher the tablet then he can cure Spider-Man's mutation with it. While they're talking, a robot bursts through the wall, controlled by Alistair Smythe, and tries to steal the tablet. Although Spider-Man tries luring the robot away, Smythe is ultimately successful in getting the tablet. During the fight, Connors' arm briefly mutates to the Lizard's and back again.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Episode One: Night of the Lizard

First Aired: November 19th, 1994

Synopsis: Two sewer workers are attacked by the Lizard, and one of them is captured. Shortly afterwards, Peter Parker is given an assignment to photograph the Lizard, although he's sceptical that he exists. Eddie Brock, Peter's photography rival, also wants the assignment since J. Jonah Jameson is offering a $1,000 bonus to whoever gets the photos, but Jonah gives everything to Peter since he's worked with the reptile scientist Curt Connors. When Peter goes to university to see Connors, followed by fellow student Debbie Whitman, the two of them are attacked by the Lizard, who gets away with a mysterious wrapped-up package. Peter goes to Connors' house, as does Eddie Brock, secretly, and finds the Lizard there. After a brief fight with the Lizard, Curt's son Billy calls out to the Lizard, who runs away. Curt's wife then reveals the truth to Spider-Man: Curt Connors is the Lizard.

Spider-Man (1981) Episode Three: Lizards, Lizards, Everywhere

Lizards, Lizards, Everywhere

First Aired: September 26th, 1981

Synopsis: A zoo has its reptiles mysteriously freed, leading to them attacking the civilians there. Spider-Man manages to save them, noting as he does so that he appears to be getting a cold. The reptiles all manage to escape, and it's revealed that the Lizard was the one who freed them. He steals a subway car and intentionally derails it, so that he can block off a section of subway tunnel to use as a breeding ground for his reptiles. When he tries to steal another subway car to block off the other end, Spider-Man hears about it, and although he doesn't stop Lizard from derailing that one, he does save the civilians that were onboard this train.

First Aired: March 22nd, 1970

Synopsis: While Spider-Man's patrolling the city, he finds Vulture robbing someone. Spider-Man is beaten up, and Vulture comments that by doing so he'll get the whole city to respect him. The next day, Spider-Man decides to go somewhere that a lot of people are and wait for Vulture to find him. This leads to him and Vulture fighting at a construction site, ending with the construction site being badly damaged.

Synopsis: In a Spanish fort in Florida, Curtis Connors believes he has found the Fountain of Youth, but is attacked by an anachronistic Spanish Conquistador before he can investigate further. His disappearance is soon reported by his wife, and makes its way to the Daily Bugle. Peter Parker heads down to Florida to investigate, and after talking to Martha and Billy Connors, finds out that his old foe, Clivendon, is looking into what Curtis Connors was researching before his disappearance. Shortly after Spider-Man heads into the jungle, he finds out that Billy Connors has followed him there.

Synopsis: Reports of a lizard-like man in the Florida Everglades spread throughout the country, prompting Peter Parker to convince J. Jonah Jameson to send him there so that he can fight him. Spider-Man heads into the swamp and after a brief fight with the Lizard, goes to the house of Doctor Curtis Connors, a local reptile expert. Spider-Man meets Connors' son and wife, and finds out that the man himself is missing.
