Return to the Spider-Verse, Part Four

Synopsis: Spider-Man and Miles Morales arrive in Miles' universe and immediately see Spider-Woman being chased by the police. They go after her and she reveals that she knows their identities, and that she's Gwen Stacy. The three of them team up to stop some robots that the police throw at them before going into the sewers and making their way to Gwen's hideout. Gwen says that she knew her world's Peter Parker and deduced Miles' identity through investigation. After Miles disappeared she started using technology to imitate spider-powers. In her lair she reveals that she works with her version of Aunt May, who's able to trace a shard of the Siege Perilous to the police station where Gwen's father works. Gwen goes to him in her civilian identity and gains access to the security system, letting Spider-Man and Miles sneak in and get the shard. Moments after they do so Wolf Spider appears, holding Miles' mother hostage. They free her and manage to get his own shards from him, completing the Siege Perilous, then escape alongside Gwen, who has shown up as Spider-Woman.

Return to the Spider-Verse, Part Three

First Aired: September 10th, 2016

Synopsis: Spider-Man and Miles land in Spider-Man Noir's world, where they find Hammerhead and his gang fighting another gang. The other gang turns out to be run by this version of the Hulk, calling himself Fixit, and the two are saved by Noir. Hammerhead takes out a gun modified by a shard of the Siege Perilous, but the spiders are able to destroy it. The shard bounces towards one of Hammerhead's thugs, however, who touches it and is transformed into Mr. Negative. Mr. Negative is able to turn Hammerhead to stone with his powers, so the spiders and Fixit leave. Noir doesn't want Fixit around, blaming him for something involving Mary Jane, but Fixit says that while he doesn't expect Noir to believe him, he had nothing to do with it. Elsewhere, Mr. Negative uses a giant spotlight to turn a group of cops to stone before being approached by Wolf Spider, who wants the shard in return for granting Mr. Negative power. Mr. Negative refuses, and so Wolf Spider leaves via a portal.

Return to the Spider-Verse, Part Two

First Aired: September 3rd, 2016

Synopsis: Spider-Man and Miles arrive on a tropical island in a cartoony world. They're attacked by a pirate Spider-Man, Web-Beard, who misunderstands when they talk about the shard of the Siege Perilous and thinks they want his treasure. He explains that his crew mutinied against him when he tried to keep their treasure to himself. Looking in the treasure they find that the shard is in it, and while he fights them his ship and former crew show up. The new captain turns out to be Howard the Duck, and Spider-Man surrenders to him in the hopes that he'll be more reasonable, but he simply has them all prepare to walk the plank and be fed to a kraken. They manage to escape and get into a big fight, but the kraken starts attacking the ship while Howard and Web-Beard squabble. Spider-Man and Miles help them to reach a compromise, and everyone teams up to stop the kraken. Spider-Man and Miles are given the shard of the Siege Perilous as thanks, and they leave for the next universe.

Return to the Spider-Verse, Part One

First Aired: August 27th, 2016

Synopsis: Spider-Man and Miles are playing video games when Spider-Ham, Spyder-Knight, and Miles' mother briefly show up before vanishing into thin-air. Iron Fist shows up and takes the two heroes to K'un L'un, where Nick Fury, Madame Web, and Doctor Strange are. After fighting off some giant spiders from another universe, Madame Web explains that because the Siege Perilous was shattered, the shards have scattered between different universes, and as it pulls itself together, it's bringing bits of those universes with it. Miles and Spider-Man will have to go to the other universes to retrieve the shards, using a shard found in the hidden Inhuman City which will act as a compass to find the others. A portal is then opened by Strange and Madame Web, which lands Miles and Spider-Man in a steampunk world. They're attacked by vampiric versions of Iron Fist, White Tiger, and Luke Cage, but saved by Blood Spider, the last superhero in Manhattan. He explains that the vampires were created by the Lizard King, before they start looking for the shard from this universe.

First Aired: July 17th, 2016

Synopsis: Harry, Peter, and Flash are admiring the good work they've done when the remnants of the Carnage symbiote start forming together. Harry runs off to get help while Spider-Man and Flash go after the symbiote, which soon moves towards Midtown High, the only unevacuated place nearby. Spider-Man hits it with his taser webs and it explodes all over the school. Flash and Peter enter the school to look for Mary Jane, and find Stan Lee there. The symbiote attacks them from the wall, forming tiny Carnages which burn Venom when they touch him. Stan escapes via a hidden elevator and the heroes soon run into Morbius, now more vampiric. He's draining Venom's life energy when Harry shows up in the Patrioteer armour and attacks. This causes Morbius to flee, but not before mentioning that he's looking for "the queen". The team are attacked by Carnage-spiders, since the symbiote is apparently evolving, and the heroes flee from them. They soon find Mary Jane, but she turns out to be the Carnage Queen. Morbius reappears and uses a device he prepared earlier to control her.

The Symbiote Saga, Part Two

First Aired: July 10th, 2016

Synopsis: Spider-Man wakes up in an alley to a call from Mary Jane, who says that Carnage-infested people are trying to break into Oscorp and get to Harry. Shortly afterwards Captain America shows up and says that he's the last Avenger left, right before a Carnage-infested Hulk shows up. They try getting him angrier so that he'll generate more gamma radiation and it'll burn out the symbiote, but it's ineffective. Soon enough, however, Cloak, Dagger, Venom, and Iron Fist show up, attracted to the signal in Spider-Man's communicator, and Iron Fist is able to punch the Carnage symbiote off Hulk. The team make it to Oscorp but as they arrive Anti-Venom bursts out of a window. He touches Carnage symbiotes and instantly destroys them, but is after Venom since he's the source of the symbiotes. Spider-Man gets an idea - if they can lure Anti-Venom to the source of the outbreak, using Venom as bait, he should be able to destroy it and that'll stop all the symbiotes.

Synopsis: Peter talks to Mary Jane over the phone, who says that she misses him and is worried about Harry, still injured and in a stasis tube since becoming Anti-Venom. After they're done talking Spider-Man finds that Flash has fully recovered, and as Venom, he and Spider-Man head into the city. They're attacked by Doctor Michael Morbius in a jetpack, who manages to extract some of the symbiote before fleeing. He takes it back to a lab, where Doctor Octopus is being forced to work for him and Crossbones. While they do science with the symbiote, Flash instinctively finds the symbiote trying to lead him to the lab. Spider-Man and Flash follow the symbiote's instincts and arrive just as Doctor Octopus is about to be terminated by HYDRA for serving their purposes. In response Ock injects Morbius with a serum, and Morbius in turn throws the mix of symbiotes they've been working on at Ock. Morbius turns into a large bat monster and briefly fights Flash before leaving.

Ultimate Spider-Man Episode Ninety: Agent Web

Synopsis: The heroes of SHIELD Academy are playing volleyball on the beach when Nova suddenly appears. Before collapsing he gives Spider-Man a box containing measuring tape, a flute, and a perfume bottle, and tells Spider-Man to use the keys to rescue Nick Fury. Spider-Man recognises the box as being of Inhuman origin and asks Triton for help. Triton recognises the runes on it as being from a sacred city in Tibet, and reluctantly agrees to go with Spider-Man there. Once they're inside the city they find that it's full of booby traps and monsters, but Spider-Man uses the measuring tape to deactivate one of the former and the perfume to stop some of the latter. The duo find a giant egg which they suspect contains Fury, but upon breaking it open it turns out to contain Madam Web, who says that she'll help Spider-Man find Fury after he stops Mekano. Mekano, a robotic minotaur-like monster, appears, and Spider-Man's able to stop it using the flute. Madam Web then continues to explain that she can see possible futures, and that Arnim Zola actually attacked the helicarrier to get access to her abilities.

Ultimate Spider-Man Episode Eighty-Nine: The New Sinister Six, Part Two

First Aired: June 19th, 2016

Synopsis: Scarlet Spider holds Spider-Man while Doctor Octopus taunts him, before Ock reveals that he wants the key to the anti-HYDRA weapon. Scarlet knows that it's at May's so heads off to get it, leaving Spidey with Ock. Scarlet finds the key and lies to May about why he's there, but Flash reveals that Peter told him to stop anyone who arrived to retrieve the key. His wheelchair turns out to have lasers in it, and he fights Scarlet. Back at the Triskelion Spider-Man gives Ock a speech about not losing anyone and heads outside, where Hydro-Man is preparing to destroy the Triskelion. Spider-Man talks to Sandman, merged with the beach at the Triskelion, and convinces him to stand up and fight Hydro-Man, allowing Spider-Man to escape. Spider-Man manages to make it to May's house but is followed by Doctor Octopus, who manages to retrieve the key to the anti-HYDRA weapon with Scarlet's help.
