The Revenge of Dr. Magneto

First Aired: November 11th, 1967

Synopsis: In the middle of a storm, a man named Dr. Magneto, angry that the Science Hall of Fame hasn't recognised his genius, uses a magnetic gun he has invented to shut down a lighthouse. A nearby boat is nearly sunk but Spider-Man uses his Spider-Signal to help it. When the story is reported but doesn't mention Dr. Magneto or magnetism, the villain tries destroying some train tracks, which Spider-Man also repairs.

Spider-Man (1967) Episode Nine: The One-Eyed Idol / Fifth Avenue Phantom

The One-Eyed Idol

First Aired: November 4th, 1967

Synopsis: J. Jonah Jameson receives a small idol anonymously, and while he doesn't know why he's been given it, is happy to have it nevertheless. That night, Spider-Man is swinging around the city when he sees a light on in the Daily Bugle. He sees an entranced Jonah putting money into the idol when it commands him to. Spider-Man briefly fights an indigenous tribesman in Jonah's office but loses the fight. Spider-Man notes that the money that was being put into the idol has disappeared. The next morning, Jonah accuses Betty Brant of stealing the money since she's the only person other than himself with access to his money, and she quits in disgust.

Spider-Man (1967) Episode Eight: Horn of the Rhino

Horn of the Rhino

First Aired: October 28th, 1967

Synopsis: Spider-Man is on a train carrying the first of three secret components for the US Army's newest secret weapon when it's attacked by the Rhino, who wants all of them. Naturally, when Spider-Man is seen leaving the scene, the army assumes that he was behind the theft. In spite of having come down with a cold, Spider-Man heads back to the train wreck later and follows some footprints to the city, where he briefly fights with Rhino before the villain gets away. Although Aunt May wants Peter to stay home while he's sick, he next heads to the airport, where the second component of the secret weapon is arriving. In spite of his best efforts, Spider-Man is unable to stop the Rhino from stealing this one too.

Spider-Man (1967) Episode Seven: Kilowatt Kaper / The Peril of Parafino

Kilowatt Kaper

First Aired: October 21st, 1967

Synopsis: It's a stormy night at a prison, and Spider-Man is warning the warden that if Electro, imprisoned there, is exposed to the storm, he'll get his powers back. Electro manages to do so using a kite he's made of stolen materials, and escapes the prison. He declares that he'll drain the power of the entire city, and then heads to a power plant and starts doing so. All across the city, blackouts start happening as a result.

Spider-Man (1967) Episode Six: Diet of Destruction / The Witching Hour

Diet of Destruction

First Aired: October 14th, 1967

Synopsis: Spider-Man notices that all of the lights in Central Park are out and upon investigating, finds a giant robot eating all of the metal in the park. It escapes when Spider-Man has to put out a fire it started, but not before Spider-Man gets a photo of it. When J. Jonah Jameson sees the photo, he's sceptical of the robot's existence, although shortly afterwards he starts getting calls about metal disappearing all over the city. Peter goes out as Spider-Man to try and stop the robot again, but in spite of improving his web formula to try and hold the robot for longer, it doesn't work. Once again, the robot escapes.

Spider-Man (1967) Episode Five: Never Step on a Scorpion / Sands of Crime

Never Step on a Scorpion

First Aired: October 7th, 1967

Synopsis: The Scorpion, a green-clad supervillain, is training in anticipation of fighting Spider-Man for J. Jonah Jameson. Shortly afterwards, Jonah brags about his upcoming weapon in the Daily Bugle, leading to Peter Parker changing to Spider-Man to go looking for Scorpion. They fight for a bit and Spider-Man runs away after seeing that Scorpion is stronger than him. Scorpion then heads to Jonah's office, as according to his creator, his scorpion nature is growing and making him more evil, thus making him want to destroy Jameson.

Spider-Man (1967) Episode Four: The Sky is Falling / Captured by J. Jonah Jameson

The Sky is Falling

First Aired: September 30th, 1967

Synopsis: J. Jonah Jameson is giving Peter a lecture in his office when the Vulture appears along with a flock of birds which he can control using his helmet. Peter changes to Spider-Man and tries to stop him, but is easily defeated. Shortly afterwards, he finds out that the Vulture is demanding a two million dollar ransom from the mayor of New York, or else he'll start terrorising the city. He attacks a construction site, where Spider-Man fights him, but once again Vulture is the victor.

First Aired: September 23rd, 1967

Synopsis: Spider-Man is seen robbing a museum by multiple eyewitnesses, which pleases J. Jonah Jameson, but upon hearing the news, Peter Parker is sure that he didn't do it. He investigates the scene as Spider-Man but is seen by the police and ends up having to flee from them. While this is happening, a supervillain called Mysterio calls up J. Jonah Jameson and offers to defeat Spider-Man in return for money.
